THE LEGEND OF THE YOUNG NINJAS

In 2010, Young Ninjas was created by a bunch of dudes with martial arts, sports, after-school, and teaching backgrounds. Since then, Young Ninjas has introduced thousands of children to martial arts!

Rather than creating ninja warriors (not saying it won’t happen) we focus on providing a fun, physical outlet for boys and girls ages 3-10. We do this through martial arts, which has the additional benefit of teaching kids values, social skills, and being overall good citizens…which parents love! Along the way, children gain self-confidence and develop new skills as they block, kick, and strike their way to becoming more focused and better disciplined after each class!

Class in a Nutshell

Each class starts with a fun and active warm up. We then teach basic martial arts techniques, like blocks, stances, punches and kicks, followed by creative games and challenges. Children gain knowledge and build muscle memory, laying the foundation for any martial art style. Every season ends with a certificate of achievement and lot’s of new confidence!

Our Senseis

Instructor Qualifications

Our instructors are called “SENSEI” which is Japanese for teacher. Our team of awesome sensei’s (KIYAH!) get children excited about martial arts through our age-appropriate and engaging curriculum. Sensei’s show up each week with all necessary equipment to run awesome martial arts classes at your location.

Training Program

Instructors go through a comprehensive training process, where they will teach “on site” with senior Young Ninjas instructors for up to 8 weeks or more. Only after going through our certification course, will they be promoted to a Sensei. We provide our instructors with ongoing training to ensure the highest level of instruction.

Experienced

Our instructors come from a variety of backgrounds. From martial artists to actors, from students to athletes. All instructors have experience and a passion for working with kids and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle through exercise.

Background-Checked

All Young Ninjas instructors are background checked on a federal, state, and local level.

Insured

Young Ninjas is fully insured and can even provide a copy of our policy upon request.

Our System

Rotating sessions keep students coming back for more. Every new session, we focus our course on a different theme – incorporating a vocabulary of martial arts moves, training games, and etiquette. Each session, students will receive a new color headband based on the animal, a cool incentive to keep children excited. At the end of each session, all students will receive a personalized Certificate Of Achievement based on the animal theme and will walk away with new skills and a whole lot of self-confidence!

Young Ninjas FAQ

Yes it is! There is no contact in our classes and all our equipment is child friendly and age-appropriate.

There are no skill requirements to join! Our drills and games are martial arts and sports-focused. Children also gain knowledge and build muscle memory, laying the foundation for any martial art style, should they decide to continue outside of class when graduating from Young Ninjas. We emphasize fun, exercise and being good citizens.

Every new session, we focus our course on a different theme – incorporating a vocabulary of martial arts moves, training games, and etiquette. At the end of each session, all students will receive a personalized Certificate Of Achievement based on the animal theme and will walk away with new skills and a whole lot of self-confidence!

Not at all. The amazing part about Young Ninjas is the senseis go to your school! The senseis will have a roster and will gather the children from their classroom and bring them back at the end of the session.

We always enjoy parents getting to see our program in action. But for programs located at your child’s school, you will need to contact your school directly to see if parents can come in and watch.

No uniform is necessary. School clothes are great and we always recommend sneakers. Young Ninjas offers t-shirts for purchase for an additional $30.

Unfortunately, our sensei’s are all hands on deck when with your child and never take out their cell phone to snap pics. Feel free to contact your child’s school directly as often there are teachers that can snap some pics for you.

Yes, all of our senseis at Young Ninjas are fully vaccinated. Additionally, all Young Ninjas sensseis have a current TB, T-Dap, MMR and full background checks prior to being hired.

Unfortunately, we do not prorate any costs for missed sessions during the season. Each class builds off the previous class and while it is okay if you miss sessions due to illness or vacation we do not prorate for any missed sessions during the season.

We always encourage you to enroll your child on the waitlist. This gives us an idea of the interest in the class. If we see a waitlist we can accommodate by adding an extra class or bringing on an extra sensei, we’ll do that. If a spot opens up, you will receive an email letting you know a spot is open and you have 8 hours to secure that spot where no one else can enroll.

If a class does not have enough children to run, we will notify you a minimum of 3 days prior to the class and will issue a full refund if the class is not going to be run.
